If you want to strengthen your legs, try doing wall sits. You’ll need a space against the wall which is wide enough for your back. Start about a foot and a half away from the wall, with your back towards the wall. Bend the knees and lean your body back until you are touching the wall with your entire back. Bend your knees and when the tops of your legs are even to the ground, you will look as though you are sitting. Do not move from this position until you can not handle it anymore.
If you have difficulty staying motivated to continue your fitness program, you should consider mixing things up with a variety of fitness classes. When you change things up a bit, you make it easier to stay engaged and excited about your fitness goals. Consider taking yoga or dance classes. Look to classes such as a bootcamp class or kickboxing. Keep in mind that you only need try each type of class one time, and you will lose weight while you are doing it.
When you are bicycling, work to keep your pace between eighty to one-hundred and ten rpm. You will be able to ride farther at a faster pace without causing undue strain on your knees. To determine your pace, in ten seconds count how many times your leg comes up and then multiply by six. Strive for 80 to 110 rpm for a safe and effective cycling workout.
Count down when you are performing repetitions, which will help your level of inspiration. This will allow you to keep track of the number that you are on and also provide more motivation.
