The second set should consist of heavier weights with half the amount of repetitions. The weight should be elevated five lbs and repeated for the final set.

Do exercises you hate in order to get over your hatred for them. This is because people generally avoid exercises that are difficult for them. Chances are, the more you do these exercises the better you will become at them and the more you will learn to like them.

Peddling between 80 and 110 rpm on your bike is a good pace to keep. You will be able to ride farther at a faster pace without causing undue strain on your knees. If you don’t want to invest in a digital device to put on your bike to keep track of your rpm and mileage, you can use simple math to figure your rpm. Count how frequent your right leg rises in 10 seconds. When you have this figure, multiply it by six. Try to maintain your target pace.

TIP! While bicycling, keep your pace around 80 to 110 rpm. The faster you ride the less strain your knees will be under.

Although a number of people like exercising on treadmills either in a gym or at home, running outdoors is actually better exercise. Treadmills are a great bad-weather substitute, but there’s nothing quite like running on pavement.

Rather than weighing yourself constantly, try using tight-fitting clothes to help provide motivation. Pick a tight outfit and try it on every week; this will gauge how well you are doing.
